Our Service Philosophy

CHS believes that addiction is a chronic relapsing disease often accompanied by co- occurring psychiatric disorders. Effective treatment requires a coordinated approach of wrap-around services targeting all areas of life. Through conjunctive clinical therapy and peer support services targeting personal strengths, our broad service goal is to promote long-term wellness and recovery to improve our clients' lives.

Who can benefit from Substance Use Services?

 

  • A person who is experiencing problems related to substance use such as:

  • Repeated hospitalizations, Overdoses, Physical Injuries.

  • Legal, Financial, Relational problems

  • Limited support systems

  • Co-occurring Mental Illness

Intensive Outpatient Program

  • Integrated format with a variety of services to meet all client needs.

  • Specialized evidenced-based treatment of Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders

  • 9 hours per week for 2-4 months.

  • Specialized evening groups for adolescents.

  • Provides highly structured support & accountability crucial to early recovery.

  • Morning & evening group time-slots

  • Expedited accommodations for expectant mothers.

  • Specialized Dialectical Behavior Therapy treatment - Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • Outpatient Aftercare Treatment

Integrated Services Provided on-site:

  • Comprehensive Assessment & Collaborative Treatment Planning

  • Group Therapy & Psycho-education

  • Individual therapy & Service Coordination

  • Family Therapy

  • Random Drug Screening

  • 24-hour Crisis Response

  • Transportation Assistance (based on need)

 

We provide closely coordinated referrals to partnering community agencies for:

  • Detox/Withdrawal Management

  • Addiction Medicine (methadone, suboxone, naltrexone)

  • Psychiatric treatment - medication mgmt

  • Medical care

  • Pre-natal care

  • Case Management

  • Recreational/Occupational counseling

  • Psychological Testing
